Experts are never any good at predicting recessions. Some expect it to be over by the second half of 2009, others reckon it might last 2 years. Nevertheless that is a pretty small blip on BHP's time scale. Based on future earnings BHP has to be a bargain at this level. I cant see $18 happening. Instos will be backing up the truck on bhp before then. Going short is risky now I reckon. Could get badly burnt by a 20% bounce.
