I'm pretty sure Putin's opposition located outisde Russia are alive and well. In fact they held a bunch of flash mobs in support of political prisoners in Russia (most of whom got imprisoned thanks to the actions). These even happened in Melbourne.

Controls media in Russia and dissidents are either sent to remote prison camps or disappear. Yes, neither the Australian, US or even Ukrainian government have any control over media in their countries whatsoever. It's all "free and independent". Right?
