With processing ore there are various costs, and a lot of them do not change a lot with increased tonnage. Example, reagents. You need a base dose wether your doing 100 tpa or 200 tpa. Yes you will use more but not in proportion to tonnage increase.

Just say you use 100 cc of collector for 100tpa, for 200 tpa you might use 150 cc of collector. So your throughput has increased 100% but your cost has only increased by 50%.

Power is a big one usually, base load for mill and pumps etc, this does increase but only like the above example.

So yes increased throughput is one of the BEST ways to decrease you costs.

If it cost $525 an oz to produce at 100tpa, at 200tpa it should be less then $500 an oz..

All the figures above are just an example not actually cost, just numbers to give people an idea how valuable increased thoughtput is.

Would be good it the coy put out a new estimate on production costs with increase tonnage.
