    Well what can One say to that? other than it will be our children and their children picking up the tab so why worry about it?



    Otherwise I agree with most of what you are saying re alternatives, derivatives (derivatives and nuclear, lots of parallels there) and vested interests ect.

    Like to point out nuclear arms contain mere Kgs of radioactive materials compared to the many thousands of tonnes of spent but active radioactive waste that is stored outside of the containment vessels worldwide, and that mostly no one has come up with a long term storage method let alone safe transportation method. These are potential disasters waiting to happen as time goes by with decaying infrastructure.

    We can clearly see through the actions of TEPCO that no private company can be trusted to do the right thing especially when the costs become enormous.

    Probably lucky Frances industry is run by their Gov to date.
