By way of contrast my take on Virtus is that their CEO Sue Channon has largely kept the fertility specialists happy but probably hasn't watched costs or driven revenue hard enough. For example, the underperforming day centres look like they may well work for the doctors but not as well for shareholders. The new Virtus CEO will need to be careful as keeping the specialists happy whilst maximising shareholder value will be a tightrope walk. I am wary of Monash because I cannot see any evidence that they have addressed the specialist's grievances.
