I believe the ZBM (unless hibernating) has excellent response time for providing grid stability services (certainly much better than a coal-fired power station!). Yes, lower RTE means less potential arbitrage profit, but is still profit.
ZBM has the potential to be way cheaper than other battery technologies, but that depends on manufacturing scale. Catch 22.
