The situation in the DRC which applies to Anvil, First Quantum, Moto Gold mines etc is that deals and contracts have to be renegotiated. From what I have read the Govt wants a higher percentage of companies ie 10%-15% AND they want schools, roads, clinics etc to be built around mines ie some sort of social contract. This is no different breally to Black Empowerment in South Africa where companies give as much as 30% away.

The Anvils, Motos etc will not lose the entire projects just have to give up an increased percentage. This is in line with most African coutries wanting a better sharing deal.

I suggest readers get on to websites of Anvil, Moto, First Quantum to read up. Its NOT NEARLY AS DRACONIAN as first thought.
