Lots of forests existed 1,000 years ago. We have cleared much of them.
Citing random conditions or events from long ago is just irrelevant.
The dynamic nature of the climate system isn't under question.
The concern is what happens when you continue to release billions of tonnes of co2 into that dynamic system.
Surely that's obvious.
