You are incorrect when you say they are the cheapest.. yes they are only 6c compared to say ac8 in the 60s... although this means nothing in terms of the value of the stock. You need to compare market caps as this is a closer indication of what the company is "worth". Market cap is worked out by multiplying the amount of shares on offer by the share price. For example is there were 2 companies, the market valued both to be worth $100mil, one has 100mil shares on offer whilst the other has a billion. One price would be at $1 and the other at 10c but both companies would technically be worth the same.. i hope that makes sense.
