Have you considered what a full lithium exploration/drilling program might cost? 10,000m / 20,000m or more could be looking at several million dollars. The JV path for a small cap with ~$6m in the bank, means they won't need to rattle the tin for more cash in a few months, which also comes at a cost of SH dilution. Also, there's no guarantees that a viable resource exists until it is drilled. There are pros and cons to both approaches, but being prudent with expenditure and managing risk is important, particularly in this market IMO.

I'll take it on face value that the company is negotiating towards the best outcome for shareholders with respect to their lithium tenements. However, I do agree that more frequent updates and news-flow would be helpful.
