MXR - Hidden Gem, 20c Target - High grade Spodumenene next to KM1, page-47

Unfortunately Seth I think the southern tenements are for gold only and MXR doesn't hold the Li rights in this area. All the Lithium is to the north though!!

I was just looking at Maximus twitter page here and found this map;



It is similar to the previous announcement but this one shows KM1 ground a little better but more importantly it highlights hole MKRC001 [email protected]% Li2O incl. 12m @ 0.25% Li2O. The significance of this hole is; From announcement on 14 December

" The drill programme was designed to test several highly elevated lithium soil anomalies. Within the northeastern extent of the soil anomaly, ~1.5km north of the spodumene-bearing pegmatite at Kandui, MKRC001 encountered highly elevated levels of lithium within an extensive zone of intensely biotite-altered ultramafics, with 58m @ 0.11% Li2O from 42m, including 12m @ 0.25% Li2O from 54m and 4m @ 0.38% Li2O from 58m. The biotite alteration is facilitated by the migration of magmatic-hydrothermal fluids into the wall rock at the time of pegmatite intrusion and cooling. This geochemical signature highlights the possibility of larger lithium–caesium–tantalum (LCT) pegmatite in close proximity."

The important aspects here are that this hole was drilled in ultramafics not pegmatite but still assayed a long interval at 0.11% Li20. This is obviously low grade but it was not in pegmatite and subsequently indicates that there may be a large LCT pegmatite in close proximity! No doubt this area will be targeted in the next round of drilling as this hole illuminates the potential in this area. Now if we were able to hit a similar interval of 58m or more in pegmatite at higher grades of 1% or greater, as seen in some of the other intersections from this announcement then this starts to get very interesting. There would be a massive re rate of the SP imo.

Nothing is certain in exploration but there is some pretty good smoke in this area. Drilling not too far off, hopefully end of the month??
