The oft quoted guideline is that at 13% compound growth, an investment will double in just under 6 years. Even some of the dull bank hybrids maturing around 2014 are near double figures without the further benefit of a BBSW bounce when the global "quantitative easing" (=printing money) stokes up the inflation rate....
