On top of the generally well known and lesser known considerations I have one I haven't seen on Hotcopper.It's this:take bigger positions on those stocks that constitute your unsolicited recommendations to your children.It's important that they be unsolicited.Tips they've asked for are a different category.My strike rate for unsolicited tips is better than for my run-of-the-mill selections.So far the record is:
HDR--break even
CMQ--big profit
UNI--big profit
NRT--open position--well ahead
LUM--open position--well down
