Hi Spruik,
The cat we used to have would often get grass seeds in his eye.
I used to clean his eyes a fair bit to keep any discharge away.
I only ever used a mix of salt and warm water using a tissue.
After a while it would clear up fairly quickly.
Cowcockie, the Saline solution should work.
