Great to have a look back on your 1st post, on Hot Copper.
Do you remember yours? Mine was here on the LOK board and it was a reply to Tokyo, who had asked:
< can u give me an entry price? be it 50c, 35, or 80c >
To which, I replied: “IF you can get $0.80cps on the ASX (for LOK), I'd say, that would be an excellent entry point”.
http://www.hotcopper.com.au/search_do.asp?page=13&pageSize=100&fid=0&keyword=LOK&srchType=1
That .80cps was the equal to a shareprice value of $4.00pps, in today’s value and the SP got down even lower that that, (I know, as I bought “all I could get”), yes, I certainly bought my share of them.
LOK got to a high of $8.00pps since, a 100% increase in less than 12 months, (on my recommended entry point), given in my reply to Tokyo.
Two days later, (30/05/05) a 1st “interruption” came in Post #607132 that included more than a “fib” or, two. Plus, simply plain ‘ole’, bad judgement …… eg;
< In the CC Hills mentioned a "major online media" deal which has NOT yet been released to the market. I know who the partner "is" and believe me its not what Hills has portrayed and is NOT what some are mentioning. >
Funny enough, my research had told me that it was “The NY Times” and surprise, surprise, it was!!
But, the “I know who the partner is” statement, was never released to Hot Copper readers ….. Why?
< I believe LOOK has some partners particularly Lycos at risk >
Looksmart announced, only last week, that Lycos (& now,12 months down the track) were virtually, “no longer required”!
< I believe Hills more importantly is the major issue for LOOK. He is a CEO out of his depth. >
Dave Hills will soon be shown to be a “genius” of a CEO. In a short time he has placed Looksmart in a wonderful (almost “bullet-proof”?) position as will be shown & has signed “deals” with The NY Times, Viacom’s CBS Local TV, IACI’s ask.com & only last week advised in the CC, that Looksmart had a new partner in …. Rupert Murdoch’s, FOX TV Sites!!!
< If there was a stock out there with Red flags all over it......its LOOK. >
Looksmart has always been a “high risk” type of investment. Since losing MSN & 65% of it’s revenues. But any riskier that say, AFT, BQT, and QTK, I’m not so sure??
My point?
Looksmart may be on the verge of something very, very big. If Newscorp do happen to buy a “controlling stake” in Looksmart, the “sky is the limit”!!
And I think they will.
And my (1st post on HC), a reply post:

Hi Tokyo ...I have read the thread with interest and detect you would like to see a LOK/LOOK revival. (So would I, as I do hold a few).
< can u give me an entry price? be it 50c, 35, or 80c >
IF you can get $0.80cps on the ASX (for LOK), I'd say, that would be an excellent entry point.
Are you aware of the obvious LOOK, 'behind the scenes' happenings, of recent times ?
The many 'flexible' developments of Furl.Net and it's great potential, (packaged within, say, shared 'content' deals) for online publishers? - The increased popularity of Furl.Net?
That FindArticles continues to grow, both in page content. (& they reported adding over 600 publications and 2.7 million articles, nearly 50% more resources than in the prior quarter, Q4 -2004). ??
