potentially that may be correct but in my opinion if Johnny left a head of marketing consumer healthcare role at nestle to work as a groundskeeper because it’s less stressful. Nestle will always need someone to fill the role of head of marketing and Sarah, Jane and David will be ready to apply for the role by tomorrow -

a) their ambition is a motivation driver
b) nestle will dangle a financial carrot in front of them that’s too enticing
c) nestle need the role filled and will do anything to fill it

Just because employee sentiments are changing doesn’t mean the roles still don’t need filling
