It depends on what dotted line they are talking about. I know when I bought a food franchise (I've had two- non RFG), we had to sign a form to show we were dinkum and weren't going to disclose what we saw. But franchise agreements/ contracts were later. And I wonder how these people get finance based on past losses. The banks won't normally lend on a biz that's currently losing money and they'd certainly be asking for historical figures- Maybe they are cash buyers.
