Like BB has been saying all along it is super important to have low deleterious elements existing in the ore. So each element that makes up Cobalt Sulphate must be ultra pure (99%+) to make up battery grade Cobalt Sulphate. Therefore the costs of buying the other elements and setting up the plant will be significant but if they can produce a product of 99%+ purity they will receive 130k/ton with only 21% of it as pure Cobalt. Most of the other Cobalt miners can not even consider this as they have deleterious elements such as Arsenic present, this brings their purity level instantly below 99%. Battery manufacturers would then need to either purify the Cobalt further or purchase it from someone like us! Low deleterious elements is therefore the biggest selling point we have and hence why the car/ battery manufacturers are already knocking at our door.
