The court has agreed that the offer can be put to the shareholders to vote on, that is all. If you want your vote to count, you have to vote YES or NO.
An abstain means you do not vote YES or NO, your vote is not counted at all. The booklet clearly states the chair will vote YES if your vote is discretionary. T7 is right, the scenario of the voting ending up in Pfizer getting Resapp @ 14.6c is unlikely, but I don't like "unlikely", I prefer "impossible". IANAL, this is not legal advice, and I am not trying to influence anyone's vote. As with several other posters, we can see a hole the legal eagles could pounce on, and are trying to make sure people understand the possible hole.
