re: one of the best miners around A generous buyback or capital return would undermine their negotiating position with the miners... at the negotiating table they would be "crying poor", claiming their is no more money to give them, whilst at the same time handing $3 billion back to shareholders... I'm not saying they will postpone it but it is a distinct possibility, given that it could well shorten the strike.
