As Australian? Sure.
More Australian: No.
As a contra-fact, how about this: I have seen more of Australia, and lived in numerous regions for extended periods, more than any pre-colonial Aboriginal Australian ever did. My comprehension of Australia is wider, my knowledge of the continent and at least one of its big islands is deeper.
So my ancestors' generations here go back as far as the single-digits. Big Effing deal. I am not defined by my ancestors, and I don't care if any else feels defined by their ancestors. They're all dead (beyond a generation or two).
We are alive. We are the present and we are the future.
