If you have time maybe delve into the 'one people' model of indigenous Australians and why no scientist can thoroughly explain the skull differences between aboriginals found at Lake Mungo vs Cow Swamp. Maybe then delve into the possibility that aboriginal peoples could not have been homogenous and explore what influences could have existed.
Read about the anti-imperialist movement in the 60s led by Indigenous activists and pan-aboriginalism.
Read about the trihybrid thesis.
Read about the latest mtDNA studies and how the mtDNA types in indigenous Australians is diverse further supporting that the aboriginal population was not homogenous. In other words they mixed with other cultures. Read Stoneking and Wilson.
There are plenty of photos of the Australian Pygmy people out there and scientific articles pre-1960s that support this earlier clan but you will not find them on your google search.
