Yeah it does help onetricky. It shows that you don't have a clue as to what your Grandfather did in WW2, most normal people would know what their grandparents did in the greatest war (so far) , My Grandfather was a waist (side) gunner on a Catalina aircraft out of Darwin and Papua New Guinea in 1942-3 with their aircraft painted black for night operations. He lived on for 64 years with shrapnel near his spine as a result of his service and which was basically inoperable at the time of his injury and which the old was used to by the time it was.
I have a few questions about your grandad driving around Europe in a tank willy nilly through different country's, Like what Regiment and Corps etc was he attached to just as a start?
