are your other shares specs? sometimes specs get sold to cover margin calls on blue chips (and get hit harder because the buy depth disappears) and when the market rebounds punters are slow to wade back into the speculative waters for a time because they have been singed. So specs cop all the downside but sometimes get much less of the upside when the market bounces.
