my dog likes chilli

I have a puppy, 7 mth old Border Collie Tri Colour.

She is a beautiful pup and has developed a habit of chewing the padding on my weight bench.

I do take her for beach runs every day and she has our Lab Rotty cross to play with and keep her company.

We have put Hot Cayenne pepper all over the foam and around cloth/vinyl . She watched me do it then licked it off!

I have some really hot chilli paste which i mixed 2 birds eye chillies and tobasco sauce with and plastered it all around the frayed edges. She licked it up!! Oh and her nether region!!

Tried again with Birdseye tobasco mix and then the paste seperately .She [possum] had a little lick then sat and stared at bench while licking lips ,yawning,drooling and doing lots of tounge gymnastics.

This was not a small bowl of yummies i kid you not.

Anyway all gone in the morning.

Not sure if there will be more carnage overnight,she has not had a good chew since i last seasoned the bench but was wondering if maybe there is a better solution to my problem.
