Another common problem is Luxating patella, our staffy when young would be walking along and then kick her leg out and hobble for a few paces, quite expensive to fix and being young we waited to see how it went and she came good and no problem now, as for the cost of a vets services I think pet insurance has inflated all vet procedures, we were told to desex our dog as a cesarean would cost around 3500$, that's just plain robbery.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxating_patella
