Thanks ,I have a friend who works for a specialist vet. (Whatever that is). I rang her to see if the price was fair. She said over the odds , shop around. So I just got off the phone to one I was recommended. Price $4,100. But they bring in a specialist vet. Take X Rays before. Have after operation service. Pills some needle that is good for arthritis and X Rays after 6 weeks to make sure everything is OK. X Rays are costing me $500 at the first vet. He does the operation himself so No 2 sounds better value. I may see how much my friends employer costs seeing she said its expensive. Not proceeding with Vet no 1 yet. Took him for a walk in the park. He was in heaven. Walked on 3 legs a bit but not as much as I thought. Talked to a few people I haven't seen for 3 weeks and got another contact I will try. I am going to try a few. Just ring up and enquire now that I have a better idea. Looked on internet seems $2,500 is a fair price.
