Im a holder of NWS and have been a little disappointed with the recent softness in the share price expecially given the strength of the ASX. Im a bit baffled as to which market drives the price. Generally if the US has a strong day, the NWS in aussie with gap up & obviously vice versa. This would lead me to believe that the NWS in the ASX is merely a mirror of the US market price adjusted for currency movement. But this view would mean suggestions such as the inclusion in ASX indicies will support/drive up demand because of the need for local managers to buy the stock is false as this is happening locally & not in the US. NWS was down 0.39c last night & therefore one would assume this would mean a price sub $28 in Aus on Monday. I currently see strong support for NWS at $28 so this is the test. Should the price close below $28 I reckon my original proposition seems to hold. Should NWS hold at $28 - well then I reckon other forces are at play & will restore my hope that the AUS market is having some say in NWS fortunes.
