Thats why I think we have seen recent media publications from political figureheads reassuring the populous that GGGs operation is well suited for Greenland on a whole. When you have the politicians announcing such. You know they are informing the public that their concerns are well at hand and perhaps they see the merit behind GGG. Even the Deputy of Mines has joined GGGs team. How much more inspiring can their outlook get. Why would such leave their employment to pursue a position in such an operation is they either didnt see its merit or a longer term ability to be employed helping the operation through its processes..

In the end the SIA will only be feedback. It wont decide the fate of the ML. That will be determined via the government on viewing such feedback.

What we need to keep in mind is what the Suimut party have stated so far. They clearly have supported the mining of uranium as a byproduct (by removing the uranium ban in 2015 when in power), and further writing this recent article to the public. They are well aware how REE mining will put their country on the map. But beyond that, Kim (PM) has stated already, that the final decision will be made subject to satisfaction to the countries, Denmarks and most importantly IAEA law. Not much else. So its that that will be the determining factor. (not a fear based uneducated concern to which I believe is the only thing he is suggesting isnt applicably considered)

From this and the article below. I think you can see what may happen in future. The government need GGGs operation to figurehead the opening of their economy away from Denmarks financial control and find solidarity in standing economically established within their own country absent handouts or Denmark reign. Even the Local Government have issued media releases in support for economical need.

The populous is a little backward. No offence to them, but true. But the government I feel believes they will be happy to forge ahead and as long as the operation is conducted in a fashion where no issue can arise. Then given time the quickly dwindling populous of Narsaq will find GGG their final salvation and their fears of their previous horrid 1960s uranium mine will all abate in time given observance of the vastly more technological and law abiding REE operations of today in action.
