NCZ isn’t just tailings. It has one of the largest near term developable insitu resources on ASX. Nearly 1mt of contained zinc equivalent worth circa $3B.
MMG left it because they didn’t have approvals from Waynii to remove Magazine Hill. NCZ did something MMG couldn’t do in 7 years and get the approvals. Opens up south block or the final stage of the pit to be treated.
Maybe MMG isn’t as good as our Chinese friend thinks. Maybe tailings works as planned too. Big Zinc company smart Chinese walked away from.
