    Hi All,

I am not a shareholder, however my wife recently purchased some blinds through Kresta, and I thought I would share our experience, as it might shed some light as to why Kresta is travelling so poorly at the moment

We recently renovated our house, and back in February my wife went into a Kresta shop, needing to arrange some blinds. When she entered the shop, she was approached by a lady who asked if she could help. My wife explained that she was after some blinds for our house, and needed some assistance in selecting the right blind.

The lady asked my wife if she knew what type of blinds she was after. My wife explained that we were after a horizontal blind as opposed to a vertical blind, but didn't really know where to start.

Rather than showing her some samples, or obtaining some more information from my wife, the lady simply said "Well if you don't know what type of blind you want, then it is easier to get a sales assistant to come out to your place and measure up".

A week or so later, another lady came out to measure up. She called the day before and set a time, however was running more than an hour late. Now this may be understandable later in the day, after being held up, however she was booked in for the first appointment of the morning.

When the lady arrived, she had with her big heavy samples of shutters and blinds, and proceeded to show my wife the shutter samples. When my wife explained that we only needed blinds, the lady said "I can't believe the lady in the shop did this, she always does this to me" My wife got the feeling that there was a feud between the two staff, and the one at the shop had said we were interested in shutters, just to get up the other lady's nose, because there is more commission in shutters, and they are heavier to carry.

The lady then asked my wife what type of blinds we were after, and my wife explained that she wasn't sure, but the lady in the shop said it would be easier to work it out from home. The sales assistant was quite annoyed, and proceeded to bad mouth the lady int he shop again, saying that she should have shown you some samples, just to narrow down the selection and make things easier.

My wife ended up selecting a blind, and the lady measured up and placed our order.

March ended up passing, and there was no sign of our blinds and my wife struggled to get any information out of Kresta. We were then given a date, however there was a delay and this date passed.

Around the middle of April we received a call to say that our blinds had arrived at the warehouse in Leichardt Sydney and my wife asked if we could arrange an install later that week. She was informed that it wouldn't be possible, as it takes at least a week to get the blinds from Leichardt to Sutherland Shire, which would only be 40 minutes away and that a time couldn't be booked until the blinds had arrived at the shop.

Finally after waiting 2 months, our blinds were installed on Monday 23rd of April.

We are extremely happy with the blinds, they look great and we feel like we got a good price. In saying that though, the customer service we received was shocking, and the amount of time it took was a joke and I have since found out that this has happened to other people at different shops.

After experiencing things first hand as a customer, it is clearly obvious that Kresta have some problems and to turn things around, they need to work on their processes, efficiency and just good old fashion customer service.
