First of all neither of you has lost anything yet, the sp has taken a hit but that's business, there'll be bumps and they'll be navigated around and the business will grow. You have a decision to make once the suspension is lifted, hold and stay invested in the business and it's future or sell and walk away. You'll only have an actual loss/gain once you have sold.

Share trading may not be for either of you, especially spec stocks. Stick to the blue chips if at all.
