A comment was made further up this thread about financial literacy...
CBA have just recently updated netbank to remove "debits" and "credits" from the transaction listings of your accounts.
The balances and transactions are now displayed as a green plus and a red minus in 1 column, the old ledger style is gone. As a CA I find it appalling, but I guess not everyone is an accountant.
By slowly dismantling the use of financial language, is it any wonder that the financial literacy of the country keeps falling?
