my mince tasted sh.t!

    Yes, the heading says it all!

    Last night made a huge batch of mince meat with so many veges and spices.

    It was going to be so yuuuuuummmmmy....!!! Just like my Mum used to make.

    Reality! It tasted 'tasteless'...!

    So, the question is: how can I revamp this mince to add some distinct flavour to it?

    I bought the meat, then proceeded to add whatever veges I had in fridge at the time.

    Minced Beef
    Onion
    Capsicum
    Cabbage (Chinese and small amount)
    Carrot
    Mushrooms
    Tomatoes

    Then added:

    Rosemary
    Garlic
    Red Wine
    Mixed Herbs
    Pepper
    (Small amt of Tumeric - I add it to everything)

    Then, hate to confess, added:

    tin of baked beans (thinking of nutrition and GI factor!)
    gravox
    cornflour and water to thicken
    soy sauce


    What was I thinking as I kept adding ingredients in an attempt to improve the taste?

    So, other than a stiff drink beforehand, has anyone any ideas as to how I can attempt to resurrect this tasteless concoction...??
