Mrs Dex (a GP) was horrified with my symptoms when she got back from Canberra yesterday and now has me dosed up on two antibiotics and two puffers … one of the antibiotic pills is so huge I could surely share with someone and the only way I can swallow it is buried in a small blob of ice cream! Chocolate seems to work better than vanilla 8)).
A Sri Lankan friend gave me a tip for eggplant … cube and dry in oven until darkening … reduces the oil uptake when subsequently frying … and retains some texture rather than becoming too soft.
As we age, more vegetarian meals, reduced red meat and sensible chicken and fish are supposedly good for us … this is also the Japanese way apparently.
