A quick update on the theme of budget healthy eating.

So I have now posted a lot of costed meals in the $2.00-2.50 per adult serve range … imo all appealing and healthy.

To show how easy it is to blow that budget, 3 recent meals all costing in the $11.00-14.00 range:

    • 1 x roasted quality chops with roasted veges and steamed greens
    • 2 x lightly floured and fried wild caught Aussie fish with green salad topped with avo, cherry toms and cucumber

The chops were big, lean and $11 for 2 for 1 adult serve (Mrs Dex was away) and the fish was 2 small/medium fillets for $20.00-23.00 for 2 adult serves.

Rare treat meals on a tight budget or increased effort to cook up appealing meals based on cheaper proteins?
