Remember also, that 'trailing stops' are a money-management tool when other 'reversal' signals fail and should only be used as a 'safety net' in that event ...
2002 was a difficult trading year ... a twitchy US market reversing daily on adverse news of any kind, driving stocks eratically in any direction leaving even seasoned traders rudderless ...
The ranging malaise of the last two months is even worse and more expected into next year due largely to international political events which remain unresolved ...
There have been exceptions (NCP >45% rally) and the astute have made mega green if in early enough to hitch a ride...
We have done okay over the last month with SHORTS: AMP & ANZ; LONGS: LHG & NCM.
