Australia has the capacity. An example is the CSIRO which is widely a claimed as world class. I would suppose there has been studies to show the benefit that this organization has given the nation against the tax payer funding. But what does the government do? Cut funding. To me the key components to any country would be education, research and development of that research. Instead we have leaders who exhibit all the behaviors of the preschool sand pit
To me the fundamental problem in Australia is over government. I am for One Australia. One set of road rules, one set of industrial laws, one health system, one educational system etc.
State governments are a parasite justifying there own existence.
