Johnno you live in dreamtime - the religious books have been rewritten many times. This mumbo jumbo was started when the average person could neither read nor write and was used as control of the masses by fear. Still is in many cases.
Personally I fail to see why anyone needs religion. I certainly do not need to know where I came from as I am surely going to go the same way as everyone before me.
