50c is $5 in todays consolidation. Currently 2.7c.

Many comments as to why would someone pay for an app when others were available for free.

Ultimately the only advantage to Norwoods offer was leasing a temporary number. But without roaming data you were tied to finding WiFi. Was a huge limitation back in 2016, and exacerbated now with telcos offering cheap roaming and cheap throw away sims. Bad modelling, competition and poor execution doomed it to failure and tech progress would have killed it quickly had it gained any traction.
