    No not at all, Like you said there is a massive difference between measured Dicipline and Agressive hits to the head.

    It stopped for me when I became skilled enough at blocking the hits with my arm.

    And also strong enough to hold the door handle from one side when dad had a temper.

    My Sister never learned like me to put the arm up to block, and one day she wore a Blue shiner to one side of her face.

    That was the moment that dad realised he had to stop, even though the only reason I didnt get shiners was that I learned to get my head out of the way of the swipe and hits as well as blocking with the arm.

    The good that came of that is that bigger kids at school couldnt hurt me, as they could never land a clean hit on me.

    So there it is, But Measured dicipline is great Parenting.

    But in saying that its easy to be Careless, Look at Cotchin from the AFL Tigers throwing his Daughter in the air and swinging her around and drops her. Just Stupid and reckless at her expense. With him trying to be some reckless hero.

    You cant change the Past, Only learn from it.
