KRudd's policy on so-called refugees is both inhumane and short-sighted!
He has declared an Australian open door policy but leaves it to those unfortunate folk to find their own way, having to risk their lives in leaky boats in the hands of people smugglers.
If KRudd was the caring bloke he pretends to be, he would have arranged say twice-weekly Qantas flights from selected airports in places such as Afganistan,Iraq and Sri Lanka, direct to Canberra.
It would be self-funding as the refugees would pay Kevin instead of the people smugglers. And on top of that he could then slap a 40% super tax on Qantas.
