Here is my prediction.

Carbon Tax introduced as planned.

NBN set in stone by parliment.

The sky does fall and country economy continues to grow.

Parliament runs it full term.

Coalition party get elected next term and then admits it can't repeal either as they don't control the senate.

Won't go to double disolution as to repeal the tax would mean taking money out of people pockets and kiling off the NBN would cost more than it would save. They won't risk losing government , they will just accept it and move on.

They will move back to doing what they do best and that stripping people of their rights in the workplace both the NSW and WA governments have shown this is what the coalition do best.
