It might work out like a 10c placement if a big player wants to be involved.

All they have to do is illegally manipulate the price down towards the end of expiry, pick up most of the oppies on market for not much, then excercise them if the environment for a bounce looks promising, all the while anticipating that no other big player would have a reason to subsequently apply illegal downward share price pressure.

In any case, if I see this happening, a complaint to ASIC will be in order, I have done it before and triggered a full investigation with UNW Unwired, didn't end up in a conviction but they got their hands dirty having a good look.
