There has been a lot of conspiracy talk and doom and gloom on this thread. Rightly or wrongly I don't know. I love a good conspiracy theory but you must also have faith that there is a market and a system and no individual or company or even bank or group of banks is bigger than either of these.

I don't think that anyone has, as yet mentioned this, but I do believe "Chinese Walls" applies in this case.

In theory, JP Morgan, National Nominees and CBA fund managers should be totally isolated from the decisions that these respective banks(ers) make in respect of CNP independent of the fact that they their Investment Management Divisions have holdings in CNP.

Fund Managers for JP Morgan, National Nominees and CBA need to protect their investment and would do so without the knowledge of what course of action their banking colleagues intend to undertake……Well that’s the theory.
