I have to agree with Loki. The Greens have some interesting and useful ideas on some resource issues.

I really dislike the Greens and their policies, and they would lead us into national bankruptcy with the elite still living on the north shore pontificating on their greatness and the greatness of their ideas.

But there has to be a more complex debate about how we use our resources for the National interest, the National LONG TERM interest. Instinctively I would think that slowing down the mining boom and extending the life of our resources might be helpful from many aspects. Not least of which would be lowering the $AU so those experiencing the low-speed economy were not in so much pain.
