Recipe to try with your fresh snowpeas!(my own)
Pick 'em, de-string, top and tail them if you will
and thn plinge them into some simmering water for about 10 seconds and place them in the fridge until cool.
(maintaining crunchiness is the key, but softening the fibre)
When cool, first toss in a small amount of sesame oil...
Then add salt, balsamic and Olive oil to taste.
mmmm
This Sesame Snow-pea is good with anything really, but my facvourite is to make it a side dish to a rare cooked Salmon steak on a bed of veeeerrry fiiiiinely sliced chinese cabbage (or sugarloaf)
and with some orange juice squeezed on top.
If you don't want the Orange juice (MUST TRY!!) then add some Thai salad dressing (kraft i think, or make your own simple one with some lime, lemon, finely Chopped Coriander leaves, a touch of white balsamic (a wee dash) and some olive oil.
Mmmmmm its a very good antioxidant dish too!
Eat and enjoy
Mmmmmm
And although i know you;ll love it, don't forget to give me feedback!
