I've only been trading less than 2 years, started in Sept 07 and was buying blind, if it was cheap I then buy CNP/AFG/ABS/BNB just to name a few therefore my 07~08 financial year lost plenty in shares, didn't have to pay tax, actually got credit from it.

Then stopped for about 5months and started trading again in mid Dec 08 This year so far so good, in front at the moment. Hopefully touch wood our xjo doesn't tank 1000pts from now to the 30th of June. I think I hope I have to pay captial tax this year. Paying tax is good, so that our Gov can spend the $25bn on infrastructure, so that my LEI can go higher :)
