CB – in your suggested scenario, other players only would have been scared of Mac after their purchase of the 50% of Mereenie from Santos happened in January.
Our board must have known of the capital requirements long before then, however it seems a mad scramble happened after the initial 17.5c Mac bid arrived.
I have always been a supporter of RC and what he has done for CTP, however I can’t help feeling that his (and the boards) capital forecasting and finance management abilities have proved lacking… it has exposed we shareholders unnecessarily and provided Mac with an opportunity too good to pass up.
