Yes, a fair point. However, I may have pushed the discussion towards MNK with my last post which was related to partners for agvhd (MSC-100 IV) a subset of the IP which MNK have locked up outside of Japan and China until September.
That said, in a wider sense, your point is well made. Celgene would be the perfect partner for Mesoblast across the entire portfolio - over $US8 billion in net cash on hand would easily cover the relatively small costs of trials. The problem being they would not pay for all the trials without essentially taking all the rewards.
The deal with Juna alone shows how they would change the landscape for Mesoblast.
